Us pharmacists often don’t think twice about giving valuable information and services to help others.
We are trained to do so – for free.
Much of our clinical knowledge is expected to be shared as part of our professional duties, yet there are few systems of reimbursement for that service.
We are often answering questions, researching information, and counseling others – all without expecting anything in return, and even denying any energetic or monetary exchange.
We feel that our calling is to serve, just because we have the skills to do so, and out of the goodness of our hearts.
But the industry is changing, fast.
We are starting to wake up to the fact that we are TRULY VALUABLE. And we deserve to not only give freely, but accept and expect something in return.
Reimbursement is not getting any better in the old paradigm of fee-for-service. And let’s face it, the current model is way more product than service-oriented.
We can be part of the grander change and restructuring of the healthcare system, which is much needed. I personally can’t wait for it to come soon enough, and am eager to be at the forefront.
In the meantime, we can put our skills to good use and reevaluate our reimbursement models, as well as deliver quality products, when appropriate.
I have loved recommending safe and effective whole-herb preparations and supplements for clients, friends and family – as part of a holistic protocol to help support the body’s innate healing abilities.
Now it’s possible to do so without owning your own pharmacy or physical shop – via virtual dispensaries like Fullscript.

Each sale will also earn me a small commission to help support my business and continue to provide value and services (yes, some things will never change, and I am still and likely will always provide some value for free!).
