I’m back with the second episode this week, as part of the special double feature to make up for lost time last week. I had the pleasure to interview Dr. Laura Hedrick, a pharmacy leader, entrepreneur, health and wellness consultant, personal trainer and “exercise is medicine” advocate. We got a bit carried away in our hour long chat about personal stories and our mutual passion for natural and preventative medicine.
In addition to managing a local CVS, Dr. Hedrick holds certifications in diabetes education, personal training, and fitness nutrition. She is the owner of PharmD Fitness, LLC, a health and wellness consulting business. Dr. Hedrick is an advocate for all things movement related and incorporates food and exercise is medicine into her wellness education. She loves lifting weights, but still does yoga every day to promote mobility and flexibility. She loves to read, especially books that can she can translate into easy to implement lifestyle changes. She started her business with the purpose of educating people on the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. Her passion is to encourage women to lift weights and bring out their inner warriors.
